Good morning, brothers and sisters.
Our verse for today comes from Acts 4:29, “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word.”
Today you will need prayer. You will need to pray for what you want to accomplish, for who you have to deal with, for what you need to overcome, and for what is occupying your mind. You will need to pray for help – help to be able to do something, or say something, or not do or say something. You will need to pray for yourself, for those you love, and for those you know. You will need to pray prayers of thanksgiving and praise for how you have been blessed and for things from which you have been spared. You will need to pray for wisdom, patience, deliverance from temptation, and victory. You will need to pray for the sick, the well, the saved, and the lost.
You will definitely need prayer today. You will need others praying for you, bringing your name and your circumstances before the throne of God Almighty. You will need God’s ears to hear your name uttered by ones who care for you, who take time for you, who hope for you. You will need prayers offered up in full belief that God is able and willing to answer with a resounding “yes.” You will need prayers that come from hearts that fully and willingly acknowledge that God knows and sees far more than the present situation or what you might be hoping or seeking. You will need prayers that allow for God to do what might seem contrary to what you think you need, that will turn things seemingly for the worse. You will need prayers that help you realize the difference between your kingdom and His.
Today you will need prayer. And I hope that today you get what you need. I hope that you do what you need. I hope that others do what you need. When you pray, you are getting to know God as He shows you yourself. And you become closer to Him because you know He knows you completely, and your fascination with God deepens as He fascinates you with Himself. We know God needs nothing, for that is part of being God. But in a way, He needs prayer. He needs it from you, and for you, so He can be all that He as God wants to be for you His beloved child. Today you will need that. I hope it’s what you want.
As we seek Him today, talk to Him and listen to Him.
Have an enlightening Tuesday.
