Jarrod has been serving as Senior Pastor at Green Pines since 2005. He attended Appalachian State University receiving a degree in Communication where he met his wife Julie with whom he has four children: Molly, Karissa, Evan, and Canaan. Since earning a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, he has been faithfully spreading the Gospel through his gift of preaching here in Knightdale and on mission trips to other parts of the world. Jarrod’s ministry is characterized by a verse by verse teaching style of the Bible showing how God’s word is applicable in our lives today. His love of Christ and God’s word is evident as he teaches with passion each Sunday. He says, “It is my hope that God would be glorified by people who obey God because they trust God. They trust God because they know God. They know God because they have heard His word. They have heard His word because I teach His word.”

Chris was born and raised here in Raleigh and began attending Green Pines youth group in 1978 when he moved into a home in the neighborhood next door to the church. He was saved and baptized in 1981 in a nearby lake and over the years he has served the church in a variety of ways including committees, choirs, as a Deacon, as Interim Choir and Worship leader, and a time or two in the kitchen… GOD also grew a passsion in Chris for working with children through serving in outreaches like VBS which led to the call and blessing to lead the Children’s Ministry here at Green Pines for the last 12+ years.

Chris graduated from East Wake High school and later from Elon University with a Bachelors degree in Business. A couple of years later God blessed Chris with Lisa Armbrister, the Love of his earthly life and wonderful wife for over 25 years. She loves the Lord and consistently serves along side Chris in Children’s Ministry, Music, Eldership, missions and in every way that GOD leads them to serve. GOD also richly blessed the family with 2 sons, Brady and Hunter, both of whom are also saved by God’s Grace and working on completing college and high school.

Josh has been attending Green Pines since 2012 and began serving on staff in 2019. He was born in South Jersey and spent several years in Western New York before moving to North Carolina. He graduated from Liberty University in 2011 with a degree in Biblical Studies. He has been serving in youth ministry in some capacity every year since 2009, has been working with the student ministry at Green Pines since 2012, and has joined in sharing the Gospel in various places around the world with our church. He is married to Kylie Korth and they have four children, Madison, Lucy, Nolan and Ollie. He enjoys listening to music and watching sports, particularly hockey and soccer.

Don is originally from Newark, Delaware and graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science in 1983.  Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the Military Police Corps in the U.S Army and retired 28 years later as a Lieutenant Colonel from Army Reserves.  He met his lovely wife Rebecca while in the Army and they were married in 1985 in Becky’s hometown of Asheville.  The Lord has blessed them with two children and four grandchildren and they have been active in Green Pines since 1993.  Don has served on the Finance and Building and Grounds Committees, and been the chair of the Security and Safety Committee.  Additionally, he has served two terms as a Deacon and has taught an adult Sunday School class, the Mission Friends group and the 4-year-old Sunday School class with his wife Becky.  Becky has also served on the Building and Grounds and Personnel Committees and as a Teller for the church and taught the GA’s (now Gems) for a couple of years when their daughter was in the group.  Both of them volunteer with the Food Pantry ministry and Vacation Bible School each summer and worked with the Cornerstone Ministry.

Tim has been part of Green Pines since 2023. He was born as an American citizen in the Philippines and has lived in Guam, Hawaii, and many cities across the United States. His musical journey began at the age of 10 with classical piano. At age 13 he gave his life to Christ and was baptized in the ocean of Wailea and began serving the Lord in music ministry at Paipala Bible. Tim attended Milligan College in Johnson City, TN where he majored in digital media before making his way to Raleigh in 2015. He is married to the love of his life Kristin Wood and they have two children, Eleanor and Isaiah.  Along with his musical talents Tim also enjoys using his construction experience and creativity to edify the church body.

Tracey has had the role of administrative assistant since 2004. Originally from Raleigh, she graduated from Sanderson High School and then North Carolina State University with a degree in Business Management. She is married to Reymond and has two daughters, one step-son, two son-in-laws, two grandsons and one granddaughter with whom she enjoys spending her time. If trying situations arise, she still has a helpful, positive attitude and with her gift of service, you will see her serving in numerous places throughout the church.

John Melancon serves on the staff of Green Pines as Senior Support. He began his ministry here on January 1, 2021. He graduated from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, NC, attended Southwestern Baptist Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas and graduated from Southeastern Seminary, Wake Forest in December 1983.

He entered pastoral ministry in 1974. With some interruptions he finished full time ministry in 2017 having served Pinetops Baptist Church, Pinetops, NC for over 27 years. He has been married to Pam for 47 years. They have three children and three grandsons. He is looking forward to a fruitful ministry at Green Pines.

Kylie has been a member of Green Pines since 2016 and started working in our Weekday Preschool right away. She is our Preschool Ministry Coordinator as well as our Director for the Weekday Preschool. She was born and raised in New England but moved to North Carolina in 2002. She has an Associate’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Service Management. She is married to Josh Korth. They have trhee daughters, Madison, Lucy and Ollie and one son, Nolan. Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path.”

Gloria has been a member of Green Pines Baptist Church since July 2009. She graduated from Southern Nash High School in Bailey, NC and then attended Hardbargers Business College in Raleigh, NC. Gloria ministers thru the Cornerstone Adult Fellowship and helps in many other areas throughout the church. Her favorite verse is “We love because HE first loved us.” 1 John 4:19.
