babies and preschoolers

GPBC welcomes all children from birth through age 4 or before Kindergarten to The Ark on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights for age-appropriate Bible stories and play. Each class is divided according to age and stage of development so that the teachers can best care for each child on their level. Sunday morning activities include a Bible story lesson, activity & songs, snack and free play time during both worship services. On Wednesday nights, preschoolers participate in Mission Friends, a structured, missions-based curriculum and child care is provided for babies and toddlers. All classes are taught by GPBC member volunteers. Babies and preschoolers are loved and nurtured as they learn about Jesus at The Ark. Men's Ministry

GPBC has a place for all men to grow in their faith and become strong spiritual leaders. Brotherhood ministers to the needs of others through targeted outreach and service projects. These men use their talents and skills to serve others in our church and offer support to the community by cleaning houses/yards of those who are ill, widowed or elderly, mowing lawns, and providing general “fix-it” services to anyone in need.

Brotherhood Dinner

The monthly Brotherhood dinner is a great opportunity for men of all ages to get to know their fellow brothers in Christ through fellowship. GPBC men meet in the church fellowship hall on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. for a cost of  $7 per person, depending on the menu. The dinner includes a motivational speaker and devotion time. A sign-up sheet is available on the bulletin board in the church hallway. All men are encouraged to sign up!

Softball Team

The GPBC men’s softball team has been playing strong for Jesus for several years. The focus of this ministry is fellowship and teamwork as these men encourage each other and use this sport as a way to reach others for Christ through their examples on the softball field.

Senior Cornerstones

The Cornerstones Ministry, a group of GPBC men and women aged 55 and up, represents the senior population of the church. This wonderful group is treasured as we respect and learn from each member. This ministry has a strong support network for one another and offers wisdom to other ministries within the church body. The men and women are active in local and foreign missions through special outreach projects such as Operation Christmas Child and ministering to shut-ins. The Cornerstones group meets the 2nd Monday of each month in the GPBC fellowship hall. The monthly meeting includes dinner followed by guest speakers and/or special music. Anyone aged 55 & up is encouraged to join this busy and active group.

Worship Ministry

Worship is a vital ministry of GPBC. The gathering together of God’s people in worship to Him on Sunday morning is one of the most important activities a church engages in. It pleases the Lord to hear sounds of praise from His children. It takes many God-called, talented servants to accomplish this ministry and GPBC offers a variety of opportunities for service. All GPBC members are encouraged to consider joining one of the programs below.

CELEBRATION CHOIR: The GPBC choir gives men, women and high school students an opportunity to worship the Lord through song. The choir rehearses every Wednesday night at 7:30 in the church annex building. Please come join us and help us sing to the Lord!

This group of youth and adults perform during Sunday morning worship services. Handbell choir rehearsal is held on Sunday afternoons at 5:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Please contact Vicky McCue if you are interested in handbells.

GPBC has formed a Sound And Light Team to address the ever-growing technological needs of the church. A video/production team aids in the worship services by projecting song lyrics, sermon notes, and other information onto a large screen for the audience.
